水天宮前からほど近い裏路地に構える「喜久川」さん。
しっとりと鰻を頂ける雰囲気でしたのでご紹介。
場所は水天宮前駅より徒歩2分ほど。
人形町駅からは5分でした。
想像していた店舗と違い、リガーレ日本橋人形町というタワーマンションの1階テナント部分に構えています。
落ち着いた黒い外観に藍色の暖簾がかかります。
中の様子が伺えないため、扉を開けるとさらに扉があり、お出迎え頂きました。
落ち着きのある明るさの和空間には、4人掛けテーブル7つと2人掛けテーブル1つ。
無音のなか支度される音が時折聞こえてきます。
メニューはシンプルのこの辺り。
・うなぎお重 3,400円
・うなぎ上重 3,800円
・うなぎ特重 4,900円

静寂のなか、次第になんとも言えないタレの香ばしさが漂ってきて期待を膨らませます。
待つこと15分で着重しました。
年季の入ったお重とお椀、山椒が運ばれてきます。
蓋を開くとタレを纏って艷やかさが目を奪う蒲焼きがお目見え。
鰻は溶けるというよりはやや角のある食感を伝えながら、ふわっと口どける。
醤油ベースのタレは甘みが先行、身から溢れるあぶらにタレが響き、後味にコクを軽く纏わせた味わい。
お米は一つひとつの粒を感じる水分量、タレの浸透はしっかり目でも染まりきすぎない味にタレの香りが抜けていきます。
柔らかすぎずに適度な身を形成し、タレは思いのほか主張しすぎず、心地よく膨らむ甘みを楽しめる鰻重です。
山椒はかなり痺れが強いので、香りを乗せる程度でかけすぎにはご注意を。
屋内への扉を二重にされているため、驚くほどに静かな空間。
焼き上がりを待つ、しっとりとした時間が心地よい「喜久川」さんです。
