Black Ramen w/ Toyama Rice Ball

SHORYU is one of the top Toyama Black Ramen shops in Takaoka (top 5) and in Toyama prefecture (top 20) depending on who you ask. The parking lot is always packed, so know that there is a 2nd parking lot across the street. The inside is larger than most ramen shops, so the turn around is quick. You can get the Toyama Black, Salt or Miso ramen... but get the Toyama Black if it is your first time. It is medium salty compared to most Toyama Blacks. The soup base has a hint of seafood base as well. The Charsiew is meaty and big chunk. Definitely get the egg topping (AJI TAMA), though the marinade is light (especially when compared to the Toyama Black broth) You would be wise to get some rice to go with your Toyama Black. I suggest the Rice Ball if this is your first time in Toyama. Only in Toyama can you get KONBU seaweed rice balls. If you don't want the seaweed taste messing with your Toyama Black, then get the normal or small rice. I also got the GYOZA. It has a thin wrap, and the meat filling has a good ginger kick to it, so that it stands out despite the strong Toyama Black taste. This food is great on a chilly day.

翔龍は富山県の有名なラーメン屋の一つです。高岡市のトップの一つです。駐車場はいつも一杯なので、向こう側の第二駐車場も使えます。ここの富山ブラックを勧めます。中レベル塩っぱいです。チャーシューは厚くて美味しいです。味玉も勧めます。餃子の中、生姜の味がします。寒い日にいいと思います。
