鶴橋から徒歩10分程で鶴橋よりも更にカオスでディープな生野コリアンタウン。足を進めると『ちりとり鍋』発祥の店と言い伝えられる知る人ぞ知る鉄板焼の『万才橋』さんがあります。此処も鶴橋の『大門』さん同様に能書きや変な知識はかなぐり捨てて郷に入れば郷に従えの精神で大いに愉しむに限ります。卓上焜炉の上に載せられた四角い鉄製の鍋の上で葱や玉ねぎとともに醤油ベースの下味が付けられた牛ロースや牛バラ、ハラミにツラミ(ホホ肉)に牛タンに味噌ベースの下味が付けられた上ミノ、ミノ、センマイ、赤センマイ、レバーにハツ、コブクロ等のホルモンを加えて味わいます。牛の赤身肉にホルモン等をごちゃ混ぜにして味わうのが『万才橋』さんの『ちりとり鍋』の王道スタイル。醤油と味噌の二種類のタレが混じり合うことで何とも言えぬ深みのある唯一無二の味わいが生まれます。上手く言葉では説明が出来ませんが兎にも角にも一度食べていただければ御理解いただけるかと。元祖『ちりとり鍋』は赤星の瓶ビールの味にも良く合いますし竹鶴のハイボールの味にも良くマッチします。でも何と言っても最も合うのは『生マッコリの虎』でしょう。締めは『うどん』を入れて二度美味し。きっとこの味の虜になられることでしょう。鉄板焼の主な値段は牛タンが1,300yen、牛ロース、牛バラが1,100yen、ハラミ980yen、上ミノ850yen、ツラミ、レバー、ホルモンが650yen、ミノ、赤センマイ、ハツが600yen、他に盛合せが600yen~900yenです。
