実は前日の夜、この店のスタッフの一人であるちぃちゃんと偶然、あるところで出会ったのです。そのことがきっかけで、久しぶりに訪問しました。
開店間もない時間だったため、先客はゼロ状態で、後客が来るまでは、スタッフと雑談しながらまったりと飲食できました。やがて、7人のグループ客が来て、店内は賑やかになりました。(うるさいという意味ではない)
いつものようにワイン飲み放題をセレクトしましたが、以前のように飲みすぎることもなく、適度なペースで美味しそうなワインを、美味しい肉料理(今回はたんステーキ)と共にいただきました。

デゥミ・セック とは
デゥミ・セック / Demi Sec, Demi-Sec
シャンパンの製造過程にドザージュと呼ばれるリキュール添加があり、このリキュールに含まれる糖分の量によっていくつかに分類されます。Demi Sec はこの分類名称のひとつで、添加される糖の量が 35 ~ 50 g/l のシャンパンのことをいい、糖分添加量の多い甘口のシャンパンということにです。
この分類は、フランスの AOC Champagne に規定されており、他にBrut、Extra Brut、Extra Dry、Sec、Douxなどがあります。これらは、シャンパンのラベルに必ず記載され、シャンパンの名称に用いられる場合も多いので、買うときの味の目安になります。
Demi Sec は、意味としては「半分乾いた」となり Sec よりは乾いてないと考えるとしっくりきます。
現在主流の Brut に比べ、生産量が少なく市場に出回る量も少ないため、通常の酒屋などではなかなか見かけませんが、ワインに力を入れた酒屋やインターネット上のショッピングサイトでは見つけることができます。
