In 1899, the ban on eating pufferfish was lifted and the first official license to cook pufferfish was given to Hirobumi Ito, who was the first Prime Minister at the time, at Shunpanro. For more than 120 years, we have continued to cultivate and protect the traditional flavors and skillful techniques of our restaurant, which you can fully enjoy with a variety of exquisite dishes. Our store sells fresh, high-quality tiger puffer fish caught from Karato Market. Our skilled craftsmen carefully examine each individual fish to ensure that it has the best texture and flavor.

“Yasuoka green onion” is an indispensable supporting role in blowfish dishes. It has a mellow flavor and no bitterness, and goes so well with blowfish that it is also called "fuku-negi." Ever since the ban on eating puffer fish was lifted, we have been directly purchasing the brand's green onions, which have been improved and produced in Yasuoka-cho, Shimonoseki as the perfect condiment. In addition, we use oranges grown at a contracted farm for the ``Daidaiponzu'' that enhances the deliciousness of ``Fuguchiri Nabe'', and we use a blend of additive-free brewed soy sauce, Rausu kelp from Hokkaido, and carefully selected bonito flakes from Makurazaki, Kagoshima. .

You will be welcomed in the elegant front lobby and then shown to the room where you will enjoy your banquet. The large and medium-sized banquet halls on the second floor are suitable for a variety of events, including weddings and meetings. The third floor offers peaceful private rooms for small groups to relax in. On the top floor, we have recreated the Imperial Room, the throne room where Emperor Showa and His Majesty the Emperor stayed. With a magnificent view overlooking the Kanmon Straits, it is perfect for entertaining special guests.

Shimonoseki's state guest house [Shunfanro] overlooks the rapids of the barrier that have been the setting for many historical events. In 1889, Hirobumi Ito, who ate blowfish dishes at our restaurant,
