The executive chef is Xia Lingmin, who has a wealth of experience as a chef at a famous Seafood restaurant in Dalian. Even now, I often visit China and interact with head chefs of famous restaurants, absorbing local trends and incorporating them into our cuisine. It is because of the executive chef's connections, personality, and trust that he is able to obtain special seasonings that are not available on the general market even in China. The head chef mixes these seasonings himself to create the homemade sauce that is the key to our restaurant's flavor.
Food Dalian and Szechuan Cuisine using Japanese ingredients and authentic Chinese spices and seasonings
We use many ingredients from Japan, and our motto is to source seasonings and spices from China. Chili peppers and peppers used in Szechuan Cuisine are of course sourced from Sichuan. Seafood such as abalone and shark fin is purchased from a wholesaler that also sells to Sushi restaurants, and vegetables are mostly fresh from the Tokyo area. We do not use frozen foods at all, and we use fragrant homemade oil made from a blend of green onions and ginger, so enjoy easy, authentic Chinese cuisine with minimal oil and chemical seasonings.

Our owners are three sisters from Dalian, a city famous for its Seafood. We opened Karaen to spread the delicious taste of our hometown to Japan. Our goal is to create a Karaen restaurant that is full of smiles on the faces of our customers, and that is loved not only by the food but also by the comfort and interaction with the staff. We work hard every day to provide food of reliable quality at affordable prices, and provide hospitality with heartfelt service that satisfies not only your stomach but also your soul.

It is a spacious and bright space with 120 seats and 4 private rooms. Please also pay attention to the unique Chinese decorations that decorate the interior of the restaurant.The chairs and other furniture are specially ordered from those used in authentic Restaurants. We also have a stage, speakers, and whiteboard, so it can be used not only for family gatherings, girls' nights out, and entertainment, but also for memorial services, large banquets, and meetings and events. We can set the layout as you like, so please feel free to contact us.
