ChefI came to Japan because I wanted Japanese people to try authentic Indian Cuisine.
[Chef: Gowtam] Born in Calcutta, India in 1973. After graduating from a university in India, he worked as a head chef at a hotel in India, and then came to Japan to spread authentic Indian Cuisine to Japan. As the owner-chef, he has managed three restaurant so far, including [Balti] in Yamato City, Kanagawa Prefecture. They also opened a store in Meguro and were even featured on TV. [Mahalaya] opened in 2016. Using 80 to 90 types of spices imported from India, they strive for a flavor that you will never forget once you try it.

There is a wide variety of dishes such as chicken curry, tandoori dishes, naan, vegetable curry, and salads. The owner goes directly to India to buy spices, and you can enjoy aromatic Indian Cuisine made with them in a relaxing atmosphere.
