The first generation chef was the one who created the dish called "Pork Cutlet" in 1930. In 1963, it became the model for Toei's movie "Pork Cutlet Ichidai". The second generation appears in the opening scene of the movie, as the ``hand'' frying the ``katsu'' and in the scene of the pig memorial service. The surrounding area has changed from being a black-walled teahouse to a building, but our store has not changed at all since then, allowing you to enjoy the atmosphere of the Showa era. |

In 1930, we established our roots in Ueno, with the slogan ``Soft Pork Cutlet that can be eaten with chopsticks,'' and were founded under the name of the founder Kazuo Ishizaka. Before the war, there was no tender pork, so in order to provide Pork Cutlet was easy for everyone to eat, we conducted repeated research on the preparation method, and through trial and error, ``Soft Pork Cutlet that can be eaten with chopsticks'' was born.

Thus, the Japanese katsu sandwich was born.
The company was founded in 1930 with the idea of ``soft Pork Cutlet that can be eaten with chopsticks.'' This is the birthplace of "Katsu Sando".
