出町柳方面ホームの売店では1975年（昭和50年）頃からフランクフルトが販売されており、2011年時点で1日平均700本が売れる人気商品で、利用客が電車が来るまでの短い時間にその場で立ち食いする同駅の「名物」とされています。多く売れる時間帯にはフランクフルト専従の店員が1人付き、IHヒーターと南部鉄の鉄板でパリッとした焦げ目がつくように焼き上げ、ケチャップなどは提供されないがそのままでおいしく食べられる濃いめの味付けとなっています。
