引き戸を開けた先に広がる、サバ煮をめぐる人情劇。
元はうどん屋だったこの店が、名物のサバ煮を始めたのは40年ほど前。近くに大学ができたのが契機。40年間、煮汁をつぎ足しながら大鍋で3日間炊かれるという漆黒の鯖はチョコレートの如く舌の上で溶ける。骨までホロホロとなった鯖を、あつあつの味噌汁に丼飯とともにかき込むべし。部活帰りの学生の間で語り継がれ、卒業後にまた背広姿で訪れる常連の姿も多いという。帰り際に奥の厨房から親父さんが手を振ってくれた。名物の
