In Shimogamo, there is a noren curtain that serves Kyoto cuisine and tea kaiseki that has been going on for over 160 years. When you step inside the building, you are greeted with a heart of hospitality and a variety of splendid historical furnishings. The reason why Shimogamo Saryo is called a Kyoto style tea kaiseki restaurant is because it has a tea room of the highest quality.
