In front of the Furimon (one line north of the Shinmon), which is the entrance to Chion-in in Higashiyama. Kisshokaryo is located right next to the Shirakawa River that flows through Gion. A renovated building that is over 90 years old, the first floor sells Sweets made with carefully selected soybean flour and Uji matcha. On the 2nd floor, we have a selection of desserts made by our pastry chef, including Honwarabimochi, which is exclusive to the main store. It is a space where you can soothe your body after a long walk.
Food Take-out only “Kinako pudding”
Using deep-roasted Miyagishirome soybean flour, the lightly sweetened pudding dough is slowly baked in the oven, and then layered with brown sugar syrup jelly and white Chocolate cream, which go well with the soybean flour. Just before serving, sprinkle with soybean flour and enjoy with the fragrant aroma.
