【花椿通りの椿屋珈琲店】 花椿という名前のルーツは遠く慶長年間に遡ります。この一帯は当時出雲町と呼ばれる出雲藩の受領地であったことで、以前はこの通りを出雲通りと呼んでいました（昭和十年頃）。 その頃から街路にツバキが植えられ、これを出雲椿と呼んで親しまれてきましたが、いつの頃からかこの通りは「花椿通り」という愛称で呼ばれるようになり、今ではすっかり定着してきました。
